Description

The Supervisor will be responsible for leading and supporting the sales team to achieve the division’s short-, medium-, and long-term objectives. This role requires a proactive and knowledgeable individual who can represent the company in the field, strengthen customer relationships, drive sales performance, and ensure the effective implementation of sales and marketing strategies. The Supervisor will also provide market insights, oversee team performance, and contribute to the overall growth and positioning of the company’s products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve short-, medium- and long-term objectives of the division
  • Monitor, coach, and mentor the team to accomplish company objectives
  • Act as the spokesperson for the company in the field
  • Share competitor insights with the company as needed
  • Execute sales and marketing plans on time, in line with company strategy
  • Attend medical conferences and represent the company at such events
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge
  • Identify potential customers and convert new business opportunities
  • Identify competitor products, pricing, and deals, and communicate insights with team members and management
  • Handle a range of customer complaints and relay them to the Marketing Manager
  • Identify and respond to customer needs in a timely manner
  • Develop customer relationships and understand customer needs
  • Implement specific sales techniques to generate sales
  • Act as a proactive, self-starting representative who follows through with projects without requiring reminders
  • Communicate required quantities of marketing materials for company products
  • Travel outside the duty station to promote products and build relationships
  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports as requested by the manager
  • Perform any other duties as delegated by management

Requirements

  • Pharmacy Graduate or Grade 12
  • Diploma or degree in Sales and Marketing, or a certificate in Pharmacy
  • Minimum of 4–6 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of a second or third language will be an added advantage
  • Valid Code B driver’s license
  • Traceable references
