Description
We are seeking an Operations Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, managing employees on site, monitoring attendance and roll call procedures, and ensuring operational efficiency, discipline, and compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operational activities and workforce performance.
- Manage employee attendance, timekeeping, and shift coordination.
- Conduct daily roll calls and maintain attendance records.
- Monitor punctuality, absenteeism, overtime, and employee conduct.
- Ensure employees comply with company procedures, labor regulations, and safety standards.
- Support HR administration including onboarding, employee records, and leave management.
- Assist with Industrial Relations (IR) matters such as disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
- Address employee concerns and maintain positive employee relations on site.
- Coordinate manpower allocation and operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate operational, attendance, and HR-related reports.
- Support communication between management and employees.
- Ensure a safe, productive, and disciplined working environment.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Diploma or qualification in Operations Management, HR, Logistics, or related field is advantageous.
- 3–5 years’ supervisory experience in an operational or industrial environment.
- Experience with time and attendance management.
Skills and Competencies:
- Leadership and people management skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of attendance systems and operational procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage teams effectively.
- Good administrative and reporting skills.
