Description
We are looking for a dedicated Sales Representative to service and grow our national market
share in the mining, manufacturing, and industrial industry. The position will be based in
Swakopmund and will be responsible for the sales of industrial machinery to relevant businesses
across Namibia.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Grow and maintain a strong client base.
• Prepare and submit sales contracts for orders and maintain customer records.
• Visit establishments to evaluate needs and promote products.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations to new and existing customers on products
• Liaise with customers on questions about products, prices, availability.
• Respond to new and current client base regarding complaints and service enquiries.
• Find new business opportunities and maintain a healthy pipeline for future business.
• Be a “professional brand ambassador” that represents the company’s brand and values.
Requirements
Experience Required:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar Sales role within the local Mining or Industrial
industry.
• A proven track record of experience in demonstrating, promoting, and selling products or
services, as well as providing high quality customer support services.
• Top notch technical knowledge of mining, manufacturing, and industrial industry related
equipment.
• Working knowledge of sales quoting, ordering, invoicing, and issuing of stock operating
procedures, processes and ERP systems or software.
Specific Sales skills required:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.
• Strong negotiating and selling skills.
• Strong relationship building and customer service orientation.
• High attention to detail and innovative problem-solving ability.
• Self-motivated and a strong personal drive to achieve.
Qualification and other requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate.
- A technical trade or Post Matric Certificate in a technical trade or Sales
related field will be an advantage). - Fully Computer literate in Microsoft office. (Exposure to industry specific ERP systems will be
an advantage.) - Valid Drivers’ License.
