Description

A Branch Manager is required to utilize the assets at his disposal in order to achieve the Branch goals, both financial and non-financial through:

• Leading, developing, mentoring and disciplining the staff
• Attending to the operational functions of the Branch
• Ensuring compliance with Company Policies and Procedures
• Protecting and efficiently utilizing the company assets under his/her control
• Identifying business growth opportunities

The major responsibilities of a Branch Manager can include:

• Achievement of daily sales / profit targets.
• To ensure the daily administrative tasks are processed.
• To ensure that Tecsareco’s image is maintained and promoted within the market.
• Liaison with existing customers in a manner in which would further promote the profitability of the branch.
• Compliance with relevant EH&S obligations.
• To provide customers with technical support with respect to all products.
• To provide continues feedback and customer support including quotations on products.
• To focus on the long-term growth and profitability of the branch, and achieve budgets as agreed with the Regional Manager.
• To build sound relationships with quality customers to facilitate the longer-term growth in the order book of the Branch.
• Inputting orders on Syspro, following up on accounts and stock queries.
• Stock-take once every three months as well as cycle counts
• Keep close control on all administrative functions and banking as per SPI
• Procedures and Cardinal Rules.

Responsible and accountable for, but not limited to:

Full inventory control
GRN’s, IWT’s, SRN’s, RCN’s, Job Cards
Inventory counts and cycle counts
Housekeeping
Warehouse administration
Delivery route planning

Specific Responsibilities of the Job

The overriding responsibility of the position is the achievement of the
sales and profitability targets as agreed through the efficient utilisation of the assets available.

Prospecting for new business should primarily be directed at non in-group customers.

All activities in this regard must be performed within the directives as described in Company Policies and Procedures.

Requirements

• Technical Experience (Refrigeration) will be an advantage
• Management Experience will be an advantage
• Sales Experience – minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Physical ability to handle stock
• Computer literacy – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Wholesale or Retail environment
• Matric or N3 Certificate
• Refrigeration Training – Module 3
• Valid Driver’s License
• Candidate needs to be a Namibian Citizen
