Laboratory Technician – Mining

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team at our mining operations outside Tsumeb. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional with a strong background in analytical chemistry and hands-on experience in a mining laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct accurate and efficient analysis using XRF, AAS, ICP and other relevant instruments.

• Perform sample preparation and quality control in line with standard laboratory procedures.

• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Work independently and contribute to team goals in a fast-paced mining environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: B.Sc. or National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry.

• Experience: At least 2 years in a mining laboratory environment.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficient with laboratory instruments such as XRF, AAS, and ICP.

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Relevant technical training and experience on instrument-specific analysis.

• Leadership Potential: Demonstrates the potential to grow into a supervisory role.

• Language: Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.

• Computer Skills: Fully computer literate.
