Description

We are looking for a skilled Operations Supervisor to support daily operational activities, ensure compliance with company procedures, and lead teams toward achieving performance and service excellence. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can manage people, processes, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Staff & Administration

  • Conduct daily roll calls and manage timesheet submissions.

  • Oversee leave, terminations, and disciplinary processes.

  • Maintain standby staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage.

  • Ensure SOPs are accessible and followed by all staff.

2. Site Compliance & Inspections

  • Perform regular housekeeping, safety, and visibility checks.

  • Monitor compliance with PPE, health, and safety regulations.

3. Training & Certification

  • Manage training and upskilling registers.

  • Coordinate with support teams for training needs.

  • Handle PPE requisitions and maintain employee data on APSUAT.

4. Performance & Reporting

  • Analyze and report on KPIs, driver behavior, and picking performance.

  • Lead daily/weekly/monthly staff performance reviews.

5. Customer Service & Relationship Management

  • Resolve customer queries promptly with end-of-shift feedback.

  • Maintain daily communication through reports and dashboards.

  • Identify and implement service improvements.

6. Incident Management

  • Ensure timely reporting (within 24 hrs) and investigation (within 72 hrs) of all incidents.

7. Stakeholder Engagement & Growth

  • Hold regular meetings with client department heads.

  • Address issues proactively and contribute to business growth.

8. Financial Oversight

  • Conduct monthly cost analyses and comparisons.

  • Assist with departmental budgeting and cost control.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) with a minimum of 5 years’ operational experience.

Skills:

  • Strong command of English (written and verbal).

  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
