Description
We are looking to recruit a talented Trade Marketing Manager to join the team.
The Trade Marketing Manager plays a vital role in enhancing product visibility, driving sales, and fostering strong relationships with retail partners. The successful candidate will be the one who can plan and execute impactful trade marketing initiatives with their team and work in close collaboration with the production, sales and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement channel-specific trade marketing strategies aligned with brand objectives and sales targets.
- Design and execute in-store and field-level promotions, visibility campaigns, and shopper marketing activities.
- Customize marketing initiatives for different trade channels (modern trade, van sales, super markets and other key accounts).
- Plan and execute campaigns including sampling, retail activation, mall promotions, roadshows, experiential marketing at events etc.
- Coordinate with external agencies and vendors to ensure cost-effective and impactful activations.
- Work closely with the marketing team on communication alignment, brand messaging, and promotional calendar.
- Partner with the sales team to ensure trade programs drive conversion and channel targets.
- Liaise with modern trade partners, retail and mall managers for promotions, display arrangements, and consumer-facing events.
- Manage trade marketing spends, ensure efficient use of resources, and report performance regularly.
- Analyse data from campaigns and retail performance to inform future activities.
- Manage and mentor marketing team members, as well as agencies involved in merchandising whilst ensuring strong team coordination, performance management, and skills development.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Proven experience as a high-level marketing executive.
- Good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis and statistics methods.
- Thorough knowledge of strategic planning principles and marketing best practices.
- Proficient in MS Office and marketing software (e.g. CRM).
- Familiarity with social media.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Creativity and commercial awareness
- Ability to multitask and manage workload effectively.
Qualifications:
- Degree in marketing, business administration or relevant discipline, MBA would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 8-years’ experience.
- Demonstrated maturity, responsibility, and accountability in professional setting.
- Hours of work: 48 hours a week.
