Description
A leading supplier in the food and meat processing industry is seeking a passionate and driven Field Sales Representative to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest or background in food preparation, particularly in meat processing, and enjoys interacting with customers to provide product knowledge, technical support, and tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Client Acquisition

Promote and sell a wide range of food-related products to butcheries, delis, food manufacturers, and related businesses.

Generate leads, follow up on inquiries, and convert prospects into long-term customers.

Achieve sales targets and grow market share within assigned territory.
Customer Support & Product Demonstration

Conduct on-site demonstrations of products such as marinades, seasonings, sausage casings, and meat processing equipment.

Provide hands-on guidance and technical advice on food preparation and product application.

Build strong, consultative relationships with clients by understanding their needs and recommending suitable products.
Territory & Account Management

Plan and execute regular customer visits and route planning.

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and inventory levels.

Coordinate with internal logistics and customer service teams to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
Market Insight & Feedback

Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity.

Provide regular feedback to management to support product development and strategic planning.

Submit timely sales reports, forecasts, and updates.
Requirements
Skills & Attributes
- Genuine passion for food preparation, particularly meat products.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Ability to present products with confidence and demonstrate usage on-site.
- Basic technical understanding of food equipment and packaging materials.
- Proficient in MS Office and Pastel Partner
Requirements:
- Namibian citizen
- Possess a valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- 2–5 years’ experience in B2B field sales, preferably in the food, meat processing, or FMCG sectors.
- Experience working with butcheries, food producers, or hospitality businesses is highly advantageous.
