Key Responsibilities
- Conducting investigations upon reports of allegations of misconduct
- Drafting charges for formal disciplinary hearings
- Initiating disciplinary hearings on behalf of the employer
- Coordinating and conducting all training activities with the relevant constituency representatives
- Facilitate Employee Wellness activities in collaboration with the relevant authority
- Filling of all records for Trainings and Employee Wellness activities
- Conflict de-escalation
- Representing the Employer in Employment Equity Committee meetings
- Engaging with the Recognized Trade Union on behalf of the Employer
- Participate in stake holder meetings when requested
- Assist your manager in enforcing and reviewing Company policies
- Analysis of industry practices and standards in tandem with Organizational policies
- Monitoring and advise on IR/HR trends in Namibia
- Drafting and distribution of internal memos upon the instructions from line manager
- Routine engagements/meetings with employees during working hours discussing matters of departmental concerns relating to the workplace dynamics.
Requirements
- Qualifications & Experience
- Honors Degree in Human Resources, Employment and Labor Relations Degree, Industrial Psychology with relevant (additional postgraduate degree/certificates an added advantage)
- At least 3 years working experience in a similar position in line with the aforementioned fields
- Familiarity with the Labor Act No.11 of 2007
- Familiarity with AAA 29 of 1998
- Substantial proven experience in initiating disciplinary hearings
- Substantial proven experience in negotiations with Trade Unions representing the Employer
- Proficiency in using MS Office
- Familiarity with ISO Quality Management Systems
- Proven experience and/or familiarity with Organizational Development standards and/or Talent Management General Industry practices
