Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Accountable for all distribution and warehousing operations, including but not limited to vehicles, stock movement, customers, employees and administrational duties taking place on a shift at the dedicated depot.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily inspect Goods Vehicles and Forklifts.
- Warehouse maintenance, ensure any irregularities are attended to immediately.
- Maintain safe working environment by enforcing safety procedures, conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards and/or incidents.
- Daily load planning and responsible for stock movement.
- Handling and resolving of customer complaints.
- Repair & maintenance on vehicles, i.e. requesting quotes, booking of vehicles, ensure invoices are received in a timely manner to the Creditors department.
- Responsible for leave planning and timely processing thereof.
- Ensure employees comply with regulatory PPE and hygiene protocols.
- Ensure Road Regulations are kept to, i.e. GP, Drivers Licences and Forklift Licences are valid and records are up to date.
- Conducting driver evaluations when required.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 (NQF4) with 3 years’ experience in a FMCG environment
- OR A relevant higher certificate (NQF5) with 3 years’ experience in a Supervisory role.
- Computer literate (proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Experience in a Distribution or Stock Control environment will be an advantage
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficient in English (written & spoken).
- Namibian Citizen.
- Willing to work shifts.
