The Civils and Operations Director oversees the day-to-day operations of the company and helps make essential business decisions. They are accountable for establishing strategic objectives and goals, checking performance, and driving company development. A successful Director should have the ability to purposefully guide business operations as well as employees to achieve organizational objectives and goals. The position offers an opportunity for career growth with potential promotion to Managing Director based on individual performance and overall company success
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the firm's long-term strategy.
- Ensure the firm's growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding client relationships.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects.
- Approve civil engineering designs and reports
- Guide designs on complex projects
- Ensure project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.
- Continuous improvement of processes and technologies.
Financial Management
- Oversee the firm's financial performance, investments, and other business ventures.
- Ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the firm's team, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Performance management and employee engagement initiatives.
Client Relations
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners.
- Ensure the firm consistently meets, if not exceeds, client expectations.
Risk Management
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and legal guidelines.
Brand & Reputation
- Represent AIM at industry events, conferences, and forums.
- Uphold and enhance the company's brand and reputation in the market.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related fields;
- Professional Engineer registration with ECN;
- Master’s degree in Business Administration will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the engineering consulting sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in project management and business development.
