Description

The External Sales Executive is responsible for generating accurate quotations, coordinating logistics, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring administrative and operational efficiency throughout the relocation process.

Sales Targets Met Timeously

  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets within agreed timeframes.
  • Produce a high volume of accurate and timely quotations.
  • Manage and convert web leads and new business enquiries.
  • Ensure accurate assessment and volume measurement for all quotes.

Conduct Sale

  • Collaborate with Internal Sales to secure new business opportunities.
  • Determine pricing in consultation with the Sales/Branch Manager.
  • Produce competitive and accurate quotations.
  • Promote and finalise the second sale for moving and insurance services.

Planning and Logistics of Move

  • Liaise with the Operations team to coordinate bookings and confirm customer requirements.
  • Ensure all client documentation (acceptance forms, payments, company orders, insurance applications) is completed and received.
  • Arrange and pre-book storage when required.
  • Communicate all booking details and special requirements to Operations in advance

Administration and Operational Control

  • Plan and diarise daily client surveys and appointments efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate allocation of costs and completion of quote grids.
  • Produce and manage client invoices and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Liaise with shipping lines for rate confirmation and updates.
  • Open and maintain client files with complete documentation and follow-ups.
  • Compile and submit weekly and monthly sales reports to the Branch/Sales Manager.

Relationship Maintenance

  • Conduct client follow-ups within 24–48 hours after initial contact or move completion.
  • Provide consistent feedback on move progress to ensure seamless operations.
  • Keep Branch/Sales Manager informed of client status and potential issues.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Warehouse teams regarding moves and storage needs.
  • Educate clients on all aspects of the relocation process, including packing, crating, insurance, customs clearance, and destination services.

Requirements

Skills & Attributes

  • Able to work independently and under pressure
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of logistics or relocation industry processes (advantageous).

Requirements:

  • Namibian citizen.
  • A valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
  • 1 - 3 years relevant experience.
  • Sales and Marketing qualification will be an added advantage.
