Description

APS is looking for a DEC Recruiter who will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates for driver and forklift operator positions within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of the company’s staffing needs, proactive sourcing of candidates through various platforms (including social media), and the ability to conduct effective screening and interviews. The DEC Recruiter ensures a seamless, professional, and candidate-friendly recruitment process while maintaining a strong alignment between new hires, job requirements, and organizational culture. The role also supports hiring managers by providing regular updates, addressing recruitment challenges, and ensuring overall satisfaction for both candidates and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment

  • Source, attract, and recruit qualified drivers and forklift operators.
  • Screen resumes and applications to identify suitable candidates based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
  • Conduct reference checks to verify experience and employment history.
  • Coordinate and conduct interviews, assessing competency and cultural fit.

Documentation

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all candidate interactions and recruitment activities.
  • Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documentation for successful candidates.

Client Satisfaction

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand requirements, provide recruitment progress updates, and address concerns.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with candidates throughout the process, including those not selected.

 

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Grade 12.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of recruitment experience, preferably in logistics, transport, or heavy-industry environments.
