Description
We are seeking a qualified Buyer to join our team, reporting to the Procurement Manager. The Buyer will be responsible for managing local purchasing requests in collaboration with the Procurement Specialist, ensuring effective contract execution and site acceptance. The role also includes resolving procurement-related queries.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ensure full compliance with procurement policies and procedures at plant level.

Source, collect, and analyse data to support RFQ processes.

Convert approved purchase requisitions (PRs) into purchase orders (POs) within the agreed turnaround time, ensuring accuracy and compliance of supporting documentation.

Provide compliance and system training to new and existing employees as required.

Foster effective internal stakeholder partnerships.

Maintain and manage supplier relationships.

Oversee material master data management.

Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Provide insights and updates on local supplier market trends.
Requirements

National Diploma in a relevant field, with a postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operational procurement.

Strong understanding of procurement principles and the importance of Master Data Management.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Customer-service oriented with strong networking and influencing abilities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
-
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be an added advantage.
