Description

  • Our client is seeking a qualified Qualified Fitter / Pipe Fitter Team Leader / Chargehand to participate in a three-month project at the Okuruso / Okandjande Mine Site.

Requirements

  • Must be qualified (N3) in Mechanical Fitter with Boiler making experience
  • Must have Grade 12 and able to read, speak and write English.
  • Must be computer literate with minimum 3 experience in Microsoft office. Experience in SAP will be an advantage
  • Minimum 5 Year post trade Practical experience in a mining & Process Plant environment.
  • Minimum 3 Year Practical experience in the installation and removal of mechanical plant machinery, including pipe fitting.
  • Minimum 3 Year Practical experience in working at heights.
  • Minimum 3 Year Practical experience in the Steel Construction industry.
  • Minimum 1 Year Practical experience in basic rigging and lifting.
  • Must be able to take lead of his team with minimum 1-year supervisory experience.
  • Must be able to manage admin obligations including investigations, record keeping and reports.
  • Must have own trade toolbox.

NB Notes:

  • Compulsory - All Personnel will be appointed in Otjiwarongo, therefore they must have their own accommodation and provide their own meals.
  • Compulsory - Skilled and Semi-Skilled trades are expected to have their own trade specific tools
  • Compulsory - Verified proof of experience, documents and qualifications is a minimum requirement.
  • Compulsory - All Employees must be medical fit to do heavy physical work at heights, on scaffolding, stairs & Ladders, and steel constructions.
  • Transport from Otjiwarongo town to Okuruso / Okandjande mine sites and back will be provided.
  • PPE will be provided.
