Qualified Safety Officer X 1

Our client is seeking a Qualified Safety Officer to participate in a three-month project at the Okuruso / Okandjande Mine Site.

• Must have a NOSA or SAMTRAC Safety Qualification and knowledge of ISOS standards.
• Must have Grade 12 and able to read, speak and write English.
• Experience in Disciplinary Codes and Procedures will be an advantage.
• Must be computer literate with minimum 3 experience in Microsoft office. Experience in SAP will be an advantage
• Minimum 3 Year post Certification Practical safety experience in a mining & Process Plant environment.
• Minimum 3 Year Practical safety experience in Steel Construction and Steel Fabrication industry.
• Minimum 3 Year Practical safety experience in working at heights.
• Minimum 3 Year Practical safety experience in the Steel Construction industry.
• Minimum 3 Year Practical safety experience in basic rigging and lifting.
• Must be able to manage all Safety, Health, and Environmental obligations including record keeping, investigations and reports.

NB Notes:

• Compulsory - All Personnel will be appointed in Otjiwarongo, therefore they must have their own accommodation and provide their own meals.
• Compulsory - Skilled and Semi-Skilled trades are expected to have their own trade specific tools
• Compulsory - Verified proof of experience, documents and qualifications is a minimum requirement.
• Compulsory - All Employees must be medical fit to do heavy physical work at heights, on scaffolding, stairs & Ladders, and steel constructions.
• Transport from Otjiwarongo town to Okuruso / Okandjande mine sites and back will be provided.
• PPE will be provided.
