JUNIOR DRAFTSMAN

Purpose of the Role

The Junior Draftsman will support engineering, maintenance, and project teams by preparing, updating, and maintaining technical drawings in line with site and engineering requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update basic technical drawings using CAD software
• Revise drawings based on site measurements and engineering instructions
• Assist with plant layouts, equipment arrangements, and structural drawings
• Maintain drawing registers and document control records
• Conduct site visits to verify measurements and drawing accuracy
• Ensure drawings comply with engineering standards and site specifications
• Support engineers and planners with drawing-related tasks
• Willingness to work in a site-based mining environment, including field measurements and site verification work.

• Certificate or Diploma in Drafting, Technical Drawing, or a related field
• Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Understanding of engineering drawings and symbols
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• Good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Willingness to work in a mining or industrial environment

Added Advantage

• Previous exposure to mining, heavy industrial environments
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or structural drawings
