Description
Our client is looking for an experienced National Key Account Manager to drive the growth of its food and FMCG portfolio in Namibia. The role will manage relationships with major retail chains, wholesalers, and distributors, while overseeing commercial aspects of the business including pricing negotiations, account management, and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Relationship Management
- Manage and develop relationships with major retail chains and distributors across Namibia.
- Act as the main commercial contact for key customers.
- Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews.
- Maintain strong long-term partnerships with buyers and decision-makers.
Sales Growth & Market Expansion
- Achieve sales targets for the Namibia market.
- Identify new customers and distribution channels.
- Expand product listings across modern trade and wholesale channels.
- Support new product launches and brand expansion.
Commercial Negotiation
- Lead pricing negotiations with retail buyers and distributors.
- Manage trade agreements, rebates, and promotional plans.
- Ensure profitable pricing and margin control.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activity and pricing trends.
- Identify market opportunities and product gaps.
- Provide feedback to management on customer needs and market developments.
Operational Coordination
- Work closely with logistics, supply chain, and finance teams.
- Ensure timely order processing and delivery.
- Resolve customer issues and maintain service standards.
Reporting & Planning
- Maintain weekly sales reports and demand forecasts.
- Track account performance and revenue growth.
- Prepare annual sales plans and customer strategies.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business management.
• Minimum 5–8 years experience in FMCG, food distribution, or commodity trading.
• Strong understanding of the Namibia retail and wholesale market.
• Proven experience managing key accounts and achieving sales targets.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
