Description
Purpose of the Position
The Time and Attendance Clerk will be responsible for capturing, maintaining, and finalising time and attendance records for designated departments to ensure accurate processing of hours worked. The successful candidate will also assist with sorting, renaming, and maintaining electronic employee files for the group of companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture and maintain employee time and attendance records accurately.
- Finalise attendance information for payroll processing purposes.
- Monitor and verify hours worked, absenteeism, overtime, and leave records.
- Maintain and update electronic employee filing systems.
- Ensure all attendance records are accurate and submitted within deadlines.
- Liaise with supervisors and employees regarding attendance discrepancies.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and records.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4).
- Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in time and attendance administration.
- Namibian citizen or eligible to apply for Namibian citizenship.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of any time and attendance system will be an added advantage.
- Experience in a similar role will be an added advantage.
- Good communication skills in English; bilingualism will be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and administrative skills.
