Description
Job Purpose
To maintain accurate inventory records and support the efficient receipt, storage, issuance, and control of materials, spare parts, consumables, and equipment. The Materials / Inventory Clerk is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, processing material transactions in SAP MM (Materials Management) or an equivalent ERP system, and supporting warehouse operations in compliance with company procedures and inventory control standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all stock items, spare parts, consumables, and materials.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages, excess stock, or discrepancies.
- Perform regular cycle counts and stock audits.
- Investigate inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure inventory transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
Materials Receiving
- Receive materials, equipment, and supplies against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Verify quantities, specifications, and condition of received items.
- Record goods receipts in SAP MM or the approved inventory management system.
- Report damaged, missing, or non-conforming items.
Materials Issuance
- Process material requests and issue stock items to authorized personnel.
- Record material issues, returns, transfers, and adjustments in the ERP system.
- Ensure traceability and accountability of inventory movements.
- Maintain supporting documentation for all transactions.
Warehouse Operations Support
- Ensure proper storage, identification, labeling, and preservation of materials.
- Monitor shelf-life-controlled and critical inventory items.
- Maintain organized storage locations and accurate bin locations.
- Support housekeeping and safety requirements within the warehouse.
ERP System Management
- Capture and update inventory transactions using SAP MM or equivalent ERP software.
- Generate inventory reports and stock status reports.
- Maintain material master data where authorized.
- Assist with system reconciliation and inventory accuracy initiatives.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain receiving records, issue vouchers, stock adjustment records, and inventory reports.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Support internal and external audits by providing inventory documentation.
- Ensure compliance with document control requirements.
Compliance and Safety
- Follow company HSE policies and warehouse procedures.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of materials.
- Participate in safety inspections and warehouse audits.
- Report unsafe conditions and inventory-related risks.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehousing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SAP MM training or certification is advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, materials management, or logistics.
- Experience using SAP MM (Materials Management) or an equivalent ERP inventory management system is required.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Mining, Marine, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Industrial sectors is advantageous.

Operational Requirement
During active operations, shall maintain a 24/7
operational manning regime by rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, for all operational roles required to support vessel operations, loadouts/backloads, quayside activities, yard operations, customs and materials handling, and time-sensitive drilling logistics.
