Description

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead and coordinate electrical engineering design activities for mineral processing and related industrial projects. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise, oversee project design and execution, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the delivery of cost-effective, fit-for-purpose engineering solutions that meet client, regulatory, and project requirements.

The tasks you'll perform

  • Provide advanced design input and assist with the coordination of the Electrical Design team in the engineering work to meet client and project requirements
  • Apply engineering strategies and standards to deliver cost effective, fit for purpose designs on clients’ projects
  • Ensure surveys, feasibility studies, calculations and reports are actioned.
  • Undertake site surveys, attend project site meetings and carry out final inspections on completion.
  • Monitor closely the levels of expenditure on design projects
  • Prepare and present reports to clients and others as required by the project scope.

Requirements

  • Recognised Related Tertiary qualification
  • 10+ years of proven experience in Engineering in mineral processing and/or related industries.
  • Namibian Citizen of Permanent Resident
  • Manage assigned project site teams in accordance with the company’s strategic plans and objectives; aligned to company, client, regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven experience working in multi-disciplinary team environments
  • Provide specialist advice in designated areas of expertise.
