Description

Job Purpose

The Accounting Officer will be responsible for managing invoices, debt collection, credit notes, remittances, and reconciliations, while ensuring compliance with tax regulations and internal financial policies. Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is essential to effectively liaise with international clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, process, and review customer and supplier invoices accurately and on time.
  • Handle debt collection activities, including follow-ups, reminders, and negotiations with clients (English and Mandarin communication required).
  • Process and issue credit notes and ensure accurate adjustments in the accounting system.
  • Manage supplier and client remittances, ensuring timely allocation and payment tracking.
  • Perform account reconciliations (bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger accounts) to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with tax requirements and assist with related filings.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, preparing schedules and reports as required.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in line with internal policies and audit requirements.
  • Assist in system implementation or optimization of Accounting Systems / ERP for improved financial processes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.

Requirements

Key Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 – 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Languages: Strong proficiency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written)
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach.
