Description

The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail store, ensuring its smooth functioning and profitability. The responsibilities typically include: Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all staff and staff issues, including certain disciplinary issues.
  • Responsible for all of the stock in the store, and the effective protection and administration thereof.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the sales-force is motivated and driven to make sales
  • Effectively communicate with customers and generate sales.
  • Ensure that all customer complaints are properly dealt with.
  • Responsible for all assets in the store and their timely maintenance and upkeep, including vehicles.
  • Ensure account customers pay on time, and to follow up with payments.
  • Ensure that the security company hired at the store is doing their work.
  • Responsible for opening and closing the store each day.
  • Responsible for overseeing the daily cash-up process of the company.
  • Responsible for overseeing the daily banking process of the company.
  • Be able to work within expense budgets.
  • Work towards achieving set targets for the company.
  • Responsible for constantly monitoring the competitors and must acquire competitive pricing.
  • Responsible for the proper housekeeping, neatness and tidiness at the store.
  • Responsible for putting systems in place to reduce shrinkage.
  • Responsible for the effective and correct returns and credit procedures as per company policies.
  • Responsible for enforcing the company rules, policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Grade 12
  • Bachelors degree in Business Management or any related field.
  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in a managerial position, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
