Chip Spread Operator (Road Construction)

We’re Hiring: Experienced Chip Spread Operator

A leading road construction company is seeking a dependable and skilled Chip Spread Operator with at least 5 years of hands-on experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is immediately available and ready to contribute to high-quality surface treatment and road-building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain chip spreader machinery for chip seal and surface treatment operations

• Accurately distribute aggregate materials on prepared surfaces

• Ensure proper calibration, speed, and spread rate during application

• Coordinate with the paving crew, truck drivers, and site supervisor

• Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance as needed

• Follow all safety protocols and job site procedures

Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating a chip spreader in road construction

• Strong understanding of chip seal and surface dressing methods

• Familiarity with road preparation and material application techniques

• Ability to communicate clearly with other crew members

• Reliable, safety-conscious, and physically fit for outdoor work

• Ability to read and follow work orders and site plans
