Description
1.To ensure that all vehicles are debriefed on its return to warehouse, all collections are completed and all parcels are received as per the waybills and collection job cards.
2.Debrief drivers on their return from collections ensure all parcels are correct as per the waybill.
3.Ensure all parcels are weighed and identified before staging.
4.Ensure parcels are properly packed and wrapped.
5.Communicate vehicle requirements to the Dispatch supervisor.
6.Control, monitor and action the work in progress area.
7.Supervise the in and out going freight on the apron.
8.Recon the trip sheet against the waybills every night at close of business.
9.Receive parcels when they are being delivered.
10.Ensure all drivers know when dispatched that they are to receive correct paperwork.
11.Ensure the documentation is correct i.e. Invoices for cross border collections.
12.Ensure all parcels are counted and offloaded and trucks parked at the back before the driver’s clock out.
13.Ensure that all PDA’s are signed in and out daily.
14.Ensure that all line haul and local loads are debriefed and closed timeously.
15.Assist the Operation Controller in dispatching and planning.
Requirements
1.Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
2.Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Transport Management related qualification.
3.Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the transport industry, with minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
4.Computer literate and able to utilise Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook proficiently.
5.Able to communicate verbally and in writing.
6.Good understanding of Logistics industry.
7.Attention to detail and work under pressure.
9.Must be able to work long hours when required.
