Description
APS is looking for a DEC Administrator who will be responsible for managing daily office operations and overseeing all administrative functions related to the employment and placement of lorry drivers. This role ensures efficient record-keeping, accurate processing of all driver-related documentation, and smooth coordination between the company, clients, and drivers. The incumbent acts as the custodian of all employment records, supports recruitment and contract management processes, and ensures compliance with legal and organizational requirements. The DEC Administrator also plays a key role in maintaining seamless communication channels and contributing to operational efficiency within the department.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment
- Assist in sourcing and recruiting unemployed lorry drivers.
- Verify driver qualifications and ensure all legal documentation (licenses, certifications, etc.) is valid and complete.
- Ensure drivers complete and sign all contractual and onboarding documents before assignment to clients.
Contract Management
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all driver and company contracts.
- Ensure contracts are legally complete and correctly executed between all parties.
- Monitor contract renewals, expirations, and amendments, ensuring timely updates and compliance.
Client and Driver Coordination
- Act as the main point of contact between APS, drivers, and client companies.
- Coordinate schedules, placements, and assignments for lorry drivers.
- Handle enquiries and resolve issues related to driver performance or client satisfaction.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Grade 12 (minimum requirement).
- Administrative or HR-related certificate is an added advantage.
- 1–3 years’ experience in an administrative role (transport/logistics experience beneficial).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Excellent record-keeping and document management abilities.
- Ability to work with confidential information.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Office essential).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem-solving and independent working ability.
