Description

Our client is seeking a Financial Manager to lead the financial administration and accounts receivable / payable department. This role is responsible for ensuring data integrity, safeguarding assets, and providing strategic financial insights to support divisional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Deliver comprehensive monthly management reports.
  • Interpret and analyse financial data to identify trends and problem areas.
  • Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis.
  • Assist with preparation of viability studies for new stores.
Control & Administration
  • Perform monthly General Ledger reconciliations and ensure the Fixed Asset Register is maintained.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Monitor internal audits and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist with calculation and submission of Bi / Monthly indirect taxes.
 Revenue & Expenditure Management
  • Accounts Receivable: Review Age Analysis and calculate bad debt provision.
  • Accounts Payable: Ensure on-time supplier payments and oversee vendor account applications.
  • Cash Management: Authorize expenses.
 Operational Coordination
  • Coordinate stock-take preparations and regular store visits.
  • Act as the primary liaison for banks, external auditors, and government tax departments.
  • Collaborate with Non-RSA Divisional Financial Managers on regional financial matters.
  • Minimize financial risk by ensuring proper financial controls are in place.

Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (B. Comm, B.Compt) or a CA (Chartered Accountant) / NIPA qualification.
  • Environment: Willingness to work in a high-accountability environment.
  • Years of Service: Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial management or senior accounting experience.
  • Leadership: Proven track record in managing financial administration and accounts receivable teams.
  • Technical History: Minimum 2 years of experience specifically in administration, product knowledge, and legislative compliance.
