Description

We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Human Resources Officer on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the HR department in implementing HR policies and programs, handling recruitment and onboarding, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and maintaining accurate HR records. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of HR best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of employment legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance within HR practices.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees on HR-related matters, including policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Collaborate with the management team to address any ad hoc tasks or projects assigned by the Directors.
  • Continuously update HR policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation in accordance with data protection regulations. Experience & Qualifications:
  • Proficient in payroll processing, including various tax calculations.
  • Familiarity with VET, SSC, and PAYE calculations and submissions as well as VET training claims
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost integrity.
  • Experience in the submission and compilation of annual AA reports will be an added advantage.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field
  • 1–3 years of HR experience, preferably in the transport/logistics sector
  • Sound knowledge of Namibian labour legislation
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR software systems
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B)
