Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team at a dynamic mining operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a young professional looking to grow their career in the accounting field, particularly within the mining sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day financial transactions and data entry

• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records

• Prepare and update spreadsheets, reports, and documentation

• Support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing activities

• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations

• Collaborate with site managers and other departments for accurate cost reporting

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 with Accounting as a subject

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance will be a distinct advantage

• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a remote mining environment
