Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have formal culinary training and a passion for preparing high-quality meals. Under the guidance of senior kitchen staff, the Junior Chef will assist with food preparation, cooking, plating, and maintaining hygiene standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified chef looking to grow their skills in a dynamic and professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards
  • Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in all food preparation areas
  • Maintain proper storage and rotation of food supplies
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Assist with inventory checks and stock control
  • Contribute ideas for new dishes or menu improvements
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Requirements

  • Culinary qualification from a recognized institution (e.g., diploma or certificate in professional cookery)
  • 3–5 years of experience in a professional kitchen (internships or practical training acceptable)
  • Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen equipment
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and take direction from senior chefs
