Description

  • Conduct routine maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and machinery, including inspections, oil changes, and fluid checks.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and transmissions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring and computerized controls.
  • Perform welding and fabrication work when required.
  • Order parts and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Accurately document repairs and parts usage.

Requirements

  • Proven proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Minimum of 5 – 6 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship program will be an advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to provide relief for other team members operating plant or driving trucks, in line with skills, competence, and licenses held.
  • Willingness to carry out any other reasonable instructions as required
