Description

Our client is looking for a skilled and reliable Network Infrastructure Cabling Technician to join their team on a project-based contract, with the possibility of permanent employment based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities:

  • Installation and termination of network cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, etc.)

  • Installation, splicing, and testing of fiber optic cables

  • Routing, and neat cable management

  • Reading and interpreting electrical and building plans

  • Fault finding and troubleshooting network infrastructure issues

  • Testing and certification of installed cabling

  • Ensuring all installations comply with safety and industry standards

  • Working independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines

  • Traveling to project sites when required

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in:

    • Network cable installation and termination

    • Fiber optic installation and splicing

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to read electrical building plans

  • Able to work under pressure

  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans

  • Valid driver’s license (strongly recommended)
