Operatons Manager

TeSik Decking is a pre-cast manufacturing company based in Swakopmund, Namibia, specializing in the production, supply, and installation of patented prefabricated reinforced concrete shuttering elements and recently a brick manufacturing facility at Ongos Valley, Windhoek. The Operations Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the daily operations of the company’s manufacturing, supply chain, and installation activities. The role ensures optimal productivity, quality assurance, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety standards across all sites, including the brick manufacturing division in Windhoek.   Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily pre-cast concrete and brick manufacturing activities.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality control procedures, and safety standards.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and procurement of raw materials.
• Coordinate and manage the installation of shuttering elements on construction sites.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
• Manage transport logistics between Swakopmund and Windhoek operations.
• Oversee the delivery of products to clients and installation sites.
• Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team of supervisors, technicians, and labourers.
• Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement efficient operational processes and best practices.
• Prepare and present weekly/monthly reports to senior management on KPIs, productivity, and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Operations Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or a related industrial environment.
• Proven track record in managing multi-site operations and leading teams.
• Familiarity with pre-cast concrete production, Shuttercrete systems is an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of logistics, procurement, and inventory control.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with project management or ERP systems is beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites.
• The ideal candidate is encouraged to pursue additional certifications, workshops, or training that improve skills relevant to TeSik Decking’s operations;

• Proficient understanding of construction and manufacturing practices related to buildings and pre-cast systems;
