Description
Fig Tree Guest House is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to be responsible for the preparation of high-quality pastry items, including cakes, sweet treats, and mini desserts, in line with business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Bake and decorate cakes to a high standard.
- Prepare mini tarts and sweet treats for retail sale.
- Assist the hot kitchen during peak business periods and high-volume service.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards at all times.
- Monitor stock levels within the pastry section and place orders with approved suppliers to ensure sufficient stock and maximize profitability.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a pastry kitchen, with solid all-round kitchen exposure.
- Culinary qualification or formal culinary training would be advantageous.
- Proven skills in baking and cake decorating.
- Good all-round kitchen experience with the ability to support other kitchen sections when required.
