We are looking to recruit a Procurement / Logistics Manager for a client to be responsible for ensuring that the supply chain is efficient and effective throughout the organization. The incumbent will organize, store and monitor the distribution of goods to ensure items and resources are shipped to their appropriate destinations. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing, reviewing, purchasing commodities and delivery into the Warehouse.
  • Import/Export formalities.
  • Foster vendor relations (Organize Vendor meets, Vendor Evaluation and Rating). This includes evaluation, selection, and recommendation of new vendors to management.
  • Manage stock quantities effectively.
  • Negotiate favorable prices and terms of purchase to maximize best commodity sourcing practices (build and maintain good relationships with commodities suppliers).
  • Study market trends and risks while sourcing and procuring commodities and ensure adherence to project approval budget and timelines.
  •   Handle Government Liaising for procurement activities.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of work experience in a similar position
  • Diploma/Degree in Purchasing and Logistics or Supply Chain Management
  • Member of CIPS (Optional)
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  • Proficient in standard logistics software
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • Holder of a valid driver’s license
