Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Process and review client financial information on Sage Pastel, ensuring strict compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Financial Statements: Prepare and compile Annual Financial Statements using Draftworx.
  • Tax & Compliance: Handle various ITAS submissions, perform complex tax calculations, and ensure all tax returns are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Audit Management: Oversee and manage NamRA audits, providing necessary documentation and professional correspondence.
  • Portfolio Management: Maintain an up-to-date portfolio of clients, providing regular financial reports and ensuring no deadlines are missed.
  • Communication: Maintain professional communication with senior management, providing regular feedback and updates on portfolio status.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a heavy focus on the compilation of Annual Financial Statements.
  • Education: Degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification (NIPA registration is a distinct advantage).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Sage Pastel and Draftworx; advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Namibian tax laws, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to work independently under high pressure.

Work hours:  Monday – Friday 07h30 – 16h30.
