Description

  • Ensuring stock damages is kept in check by having warehousing staff adhering to guidelines.
  • Warehouse maintenance, ensure any irregularities are attended to immediately.                         
  • Cleanliness and general hygiene of warehouse and premises.                  
  • Maintain safe working environment by enforcing safety procedures, conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards and/or incidents.                              
  • Daily load planning and responsible for stock movement                               
  • Control of load administration and processes including exports where applicable                       
  • Ensure vehicles are loaded according to procedures.                       
  • Ensuring deadlines are met with regards to loading of vehicles.                 
  • Ensure planned delivery schedule is adhered to and handle any unforeseen circumstances if and when they occur                       
  • Handling and resolving of customer complaints.                 
  • Ensure vehicle services are kept up to date.                            
  • Ensure all fuel entries are done in timely manner and discrepancies queried.                  
  • Repair & maintenance on vehicles, i.e. requesting quotes, booking of vehicles, ensure invoices are received in timely fashion for submission to Creditors Department etc. 
  • Ensure vehicles are tested for road worthiness well in advance of expiry of vehicle licences.                
  • Ensure productivity by setting clear goals and deadlines, track progress and provide guidelines to employees.                    
  • Leave planning and timely processing thereof.                       
  • Ensuring that shift schedules are in line and adhered to at all times                       
  • Ensure employees comply with regulatory PPE and hygiene protocols.                
  • Resolve conflicts between employees.                       
  • Ensure Road Regulations are kept to, i.e. GP, Driver Licences and forklift licences are valid and records up to date.                       
  • Conducting driver evaluations when required.       

Requirements

Minimum Qualification:

  • Grade 12 (NQF4) with 3 years' experience in a FMCG environment.  
  • A relevant higher certificate (NQF5) with 3 years experience in a supervisory role.
  • Computer literate with a good mastering of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and
  • Experience in a Distribution or Stock Control environment will advantage.                              
  • Valid Drivers Licence.
