Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory and Stock Control
-
- Manage and monitor stock levels accurately using Pastel (or similar accounting software).
- Perform regular stock takes and ensure proper documentation of stock movement.
- oversee receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods in a timely and organized manner.
- Invoicing, Quotations & Documentation
- Generate and process invoices, quotations, and purchase orders using Pastel.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company procedures.
- Computer & Office Software Proficiency
- Confident in working with computers and office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage and organize digital records, emails, and shared documentation effectively.
- Supplier & Client Relations
- Communicate professionally with suppliers and clients to coordinate deliveries, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships.
- Request quotes, place orders, and follow up on outstanding items when necessary.
- Organizational & Administrative Skills
- Maintain a clean, well-organized store layout.
- Keep records of goods received and issued, and report any discrepancies or concerns promptly.
- Develop and maintain an efficient filing and inventory tracking system.
- Communication & Teamwork
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Problem Solving & Initiative
- Proactive in identifying stock shortages, process inefficiencies, and potential improvements.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Knowledge of Pastel or similar accounting software.
- Previous experience in generating and processing invoices, quotations, and purchase orders.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel for collection, deliveries, or supplier visits as needed.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
