Description

The primary role of a Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) is to find and hire the best candidates to meet a company's long-term goals. TASs are HR professionals who work strategically to build relationships with candidates and maintain a pipeline of potential hires.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New business generation by various methods, including cold calling, following up on leads, and thereby meeting target.
  • Advertising of vacancies for clients through various social media platforms as well as Newspapers.
  • Reviewing candidate applications and managing screening interviews, reference checking, typing of CVs, and shortlisting candidates.
  • Screening for CVs for positions not advertised on Database in line with vacancy specification.
  • Uploading and advertising positions on the NIEIS portal.
  • Reference checking of CVs submitted.
  • Confidently presenting the short-list to the client, including coaching of client on interview etiquette if necessary or sitting in on interviews.
  • Building relationships and getting new clients on board by means of personal visits.
  • Developing a good understanding of what clients do and their work culture.
  • Identifying clients’ recruitment needs.
  • Negotiating salary rates and finalizing arrangements between candidate and clients.
  • Following up on outstanding payments.
  • Assist with Induction and guidance of new employees when need be.

Requirements

  • Matric grade 12
  • A degree or Diploma in HR or related field is an added advantage
  • A Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Valid driver’s license
