Description
We are seeking a skilled Topographical Surveyor to conduct accurate and detailed surveys of land, buildings, and natural/manmade features. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting spatial data using traditional and advanced survey equipment to create detailed maps, site plans, and reports to support design, planning, and construction processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct topographical land surveys using GNSS, total stations, laser scanners, drones, and other survey equipment.
- Collect and analyze spatial data to map natural and built features of the landscape.
- Prepare topographical plans and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or GIS tools).
- Establish and maintain accurate survey control networks.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, planners, and construction teams to interpret survey data and support project requirements.
- Verify existing site conditions and elevations for design or construction validation.
- Maintain detailed field notes, sketches, and electronic records.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with local, state, and national survey standards.
- Support boundary surveys, volume calculations, and as-built surveys as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven 8-10 years experience in topographical surveying.
- Proficiency in survey software (e.g., Leica Infinity, Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS).
- Strong knowledge of coordinate systems, geodetic datums, and elevation benchmarks.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in various terrain and weather conditions
