General qualifications

Grade 12 Certificate: A basic requirement for most positions.

Valid First Aid Certificate: Required for a wide range of roles.

Valid Zambian Blasting License: Essential for roles that involve explosive use.  

• Relevant operator training certificates: For roles like operators. 
   
• Craft Certificate: For skilled trades, often with a minimum of two years of experience. 
   
• Blasting License: Required for Blaster positions. 
   
• Valid Manitou Operator Certificate: Specific to certain equipment operations. 
   
• Dozer Operating License: For heavy equipment operators, often with a minimum of 3 years of experience.  
   
• Minimum experience: Typically, Minimum of 3 years in the specific role.
   

• Engineering degree: A degree in Mining Engineering or a related field is necessary for roles like Mine Planning Engineer. 
   
• Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) membership: A requirement for registered professional engineers. 
   
• Minimum work experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years is common for engineering roles. 
     
  • At least 10 years of experience, with 5 in a senior role, is required for specialist positions. 
     
• Postgraduate qualifications: An advantage for senior roles. 
   
• Leadership and management skills: Necessary for management and planning positions. 
   

• Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety: Required for Safety Officer positions. 
   
• Environmental Health Degree: For Environmental Health and Occupation Health Officer roles. 
   
• Minimum experience: Typically 3 years in a mining or construction environment for these roles.
